Lube Stick

The Lube Stick is an advanced dry, solid lubricant designed to lubricate and protect low-speed moving parts.  Lube Sticks are particularly effective and suited for flanged wheel applications where wear can result in expensive outage or dangerous failure.  Our Generation 3 formula includes two different forms of graphite and proprietary additives for superior adhesion and lubricity.  Lube sticks can reduce the steel-on-steel coefficient of friction from 0.57 to less than 0.05.

Unlike liquids or grease, our lubricant stays where you put it.  It won’t run or drip and will not migrate to the wheel tread or top of the rail.  When it comes time to refill, there’s nothing to pump or spill.  Just open the applicator top, and drop in a stick.  On average, the stick will last a month or longer, depending on the crane’s operating time.  At a crane’s monthly inspection, the viewing port on the applicator should be checked to determine whether to add another lube stick.

Lube Stick Applicator

The Lube Stick Applicator is an all-steel assembly that presses the Lube Stick against the part to be lubricated. The holder has a built in window to see when refilling is needed, and a sure-locking bayonet end cap to make refilling quick and easy. The lube stick applicator has been simplified over the years and reduced to a single moving part, the stainless steel spring.  In comparison, other products on the market are complicated and can be difficult to maintain.
